Are you too rich ?

One day in 1993, I got a call from Ms SS Tan, Accounatnt of Four Seasons Malaysia Bhd. She said, " Mr Chee, are you too rich ? Why are you not actively marketing your Fixed assets Register ? "

I had installed the KarenSoft FAR for DOS some time back and apparently it had caused a stir then in that the calcualtion of depreciation was so accurate that it showed that FFM was over-depreciating its fixed assets. The results was enhanced earnings for FFM just before they lsited on the Second Board of the the then KLSE.

Well, I did followed Ms Tan's advised, prepared a marketing circular and started to send it out. The result was astounding. That's how I met Mr Oh Thean Koon at the Rasa Sayang Hotel and was introduced to the Shangrila group of Hotels which is still using the KarenSoft FAR.
